In 2005 we sold our house, interrupted our daughters’ schooling, loaded up our backpacks and headed out on a six-month journey to Tanzania, Zanzibar, Egypt, Turkey, and Europe. It changed everything for us. We became travel nuts. Since then we’ve backpacked, carry-on suitcased, motorcycled in North America, Central America, and to the far and beyond. We’ve met interesting people who became friends, sampled culture and hospitality… and discovered that often the adventure is found in the journey, every bit as much as the destination.
